The Philosophy

Held to that truth, a frame is no accessory but a piece of jewellery: a made object, precious and particular, meant to be worn for years and kept for good.
The Making
SCARCE BY NATURE
It begins with materials few know how to handle, and a discipline fewer still have mastered — held by a small number of hands, and passed on slowly. What such hands can shape is finite: only as many exist as the material and the mastery will allow, and no more were ever possible.

Not a hundred, not eighty — a single piece, made for a single person, cut by hand from buffalo horn and carried through by one maker in Burgundy.
