Yuichi Toyama spent over a decade alongside Japan’s finest artisans before designing a single frame. For the : 5 collection, he reversed the model — inviting five of Sabae’s master craftsmen to shape the work alongside him. Each brings a lifetime of specialisation. Together, they combine titanium and acetate in ways that blur the line between engineering and art. Five disciplines. One continuous process.

WHAT'S INCLUDED

It starts before you put them on. The case is black leather with a button closure — not a zip, not a magnet. A deliberate pause before each wear. Inside, a microfibre cloth and a card-shaped screwdriver designed exclusively for the collection. Five artisans shaped the eyewear. The packaging is where their intention meets yours.

The clubmaster, reimagined. Five artisans, one iconic shape — rebuilt from the ground up with a 10mm sharply edged acetate brow and a 4.5mm rounded titanium rim. Contrasting textures that express a quiet, sculptural beauty. Named after Brooklyn’s cultural heart.

WILLIAMSBURG

Full acetate, fully resolved. 10mm of hand-carved material, sharply edged above, softly rounded below — reinforced with seven-barrel hinges and flowing from brow to temple in one unbroken line. The “Surface” philosophy, carried through the entire frame. Named after Brooklyn’s most creative neighbourhood.
