Yuichi Toyama learned his craft from the inside, working over a decade alongside Japan's most skilled eyewear artisans before ever designing a frame of his own. He learned how materials behave, how craftsmen think, and what it takes to make something that lasts. When he finally launched his own label, he brought all of that with him.

He calls this approach 'design craftsmanship.' Designing and crafting as one continuous process, each informing the other. The creation of every frame follows five principles: Look. Think. Draw. Make. Break. Then start again.

Today, Toyama works directly with five masters in Sabae, the heart of Japanese eyewear production. Together they combine titanium and acetate in ways that push the boundaries of what's possible. His designs draw inspiration from everyday objects, finding elegance in simplicity. The result: frames that feel as considered as they look.
